Description

Unilin Insulation | The new name for Xtratherm Insulation in the UK & Ireland.

The 122.5mm XT/TL-MF Thin-R Thermal Liner (Mechanically Fixed) comprises a Unilin 110mm PIR insulation layer and composite foil facing adhered to 12.5mm tapered edge plasterboard. This insulated composite panel works for internal walls, sloped roofs, and ceilings, though it is designed specifically for mechanically fixed installations.

The 122.5mm Insulated Plasterboard carries composite foil facing on both surfaces with an integral vapour control layer built in, helping to minimise condensation risk. This Mechanically fixed XT/TL Thermal Liner delivers substantial thermal insulation and drylining performance in a single step, making it the ideal choice for new builds and refurbishment work.

About

The 122.5mm Thermal Liner XT/TL-MF combines thermal insulation and drylining in a single operation, offering an excellent solution for new construction and refurbishment projects. It enhances your home's energy efficiency whilst delivering substantial cost savings and improved comfort levels.

This 122.5mm Insulation Board is chemically stable and safe for use, manufactured with a blowing agent featuring zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and minimal Global Warming Potential (GWP).

Upgrading your home's energy performance offers significant advantages, including reduced heating bills and enhanced living comfort. The Unilin XT/TL-MF Thermal Liner represents an effective solution for achieving superior energy efficiency in your property.

The PIR board also delivers fire resistance benefits through continuous adhesive ribbons, particularly around openings such as windows and doors.

What are Insulated Plasterboards?

The 122.5mm XT/TL-MF insulated plasterboards (110mm insulation + 12.5mm plasterboard) combine plasterboard with an integrated insulation layer, typically PIR-based. The insulation bonds directly to the plasterboard, creating a unified panel that delivers both thermal performance and a finished surface. These panels are widely used in construction to enhance thermal and sound insulation, whilst streamlining installation. Common applications include walls, ceilings, and floors, with various sizes and thicknesses available to match specific building needs.
