Description

Unilin Insulation | The new name for Xtratherm Insulation in the UK & Ireland.

The 49.5mm XT/TL-MF Thin-R Thermal Liner (Mechanically Fixed) features a Unilin 40mm PIR insulation layer and composite foil facing adhered to 9.5mm tapered edge plasterboard. This insulated composite panel is ideal for internal walls, sloped roofs, and ceilings, though it is designed specifically for mechanically fixed installations.

The 49.5mm Insulated Plasterboard has composite foil facing on both surfaces with an integrated vapour control layer that minimises condensation risk. This mechanically fixed XT/TL Thermal Liner delivers substantial thermal insulation and drylining performance in a single step, making it the ideal choice for new builds and refurbishment schemes.

About

The 49.5mm Thermal Liner XT/TL-MF combines thermal insulation and drylining in a single operation, offering an excellent solution for new construction and refurbishment work. This product enhances your home's energy performance whilst delivering multiple advantages, including lower heating expenses and enhanced comfort levels.

The 49.5mm Insulation Board is chemically stable and safe in use, manufactured using a blowing agent with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and minimal Global Warming Potential (GWP).

Upgrading your home's thermal efficiency offers substantial advantages, such as reduced utility bills and better living comfort. The Unilin XT/TL-MF Thermal Liner represents an effective approach to achieving these objectives and enhancing your property's energy performance.

The PIR board also delivers fire-resistant properties through continuous adhesive ribbons, particularly around vulnerable areas such as window and door frames.

What are Insulated Plasterboards?

The 49.5mm XT/TL-MF insulated plasterboards ( 40mm insulation + 9.5mm plasterboard ) combine plasterboard with an insulation layer, typically manufactured from PIR Insulation. The insulation layer bonds to the plasterboard, creating a unified, multi-purpose panel delivering both thermal performance and a finished surface. These products are widely used in construction to enhance thermal and sound insulation, whilst streamlining and accelerating installation. They feature regularly in walls, ceilings, and floors, and come in various dimensions and thicknesses to meet different construction specifications.
