It delivers a certified thermal conductivity of just 0.022 W/mK.

40mm Unilin PIR performs exceptionally well on sloped roofs (ventilated, hybrid or warm) by achieving excellent U-values without consuming excessive internal space. The roof structure represents a significant thermal weak point in any building envelope and accounts for substantial heat loss. Specifying XT/PR-UF minimises thermal loss while delivering superior thermal bridging performance. This insulation board suits diverse construction scenarios, including Pitched Roof Insulation, wall systems, and floor applications. The product is compact, low-weight, and straightforward to fit. It also offers fire resistance, moisture protection, and minimal environmental footprint.

Warm Roof insulation systems represent an excellent solution for insulating complex roof designs. Placing insulation above—or above and between—the roof timbers maintains the structural elements at internal temperature levels, reducing thermal stress and condensation problems.

The 40mm PIR insulation requires storage on a clean, level surface away from ground contact and must remain covered. The polythene wrapping alone does not provide sufficient outdoor protection. Careful handling during storage and on-site is essential to prevent damage. The insulation boards can be cut easily with a sharp utility knife or fine-toothed saw.
