Description

Unilin Insulation | The new name for Xtratherm Insulation in the UK & Ireland.

This 57.5mm XT/TL-MF Thin-R Thermal Liner (Mechanically Fixed) combines a Unilin 45mm PIR insulation layer with a composite foil facing and 12.5mm tapered edge plasterboard. The result is an insulated composite panel designed for internal walls, sloped roofs, and ceilings where mechanical fixing is required.

Both surfaces of the 57.5mm Insulated Plasterboard carry a composite foil facing with an integrated vapour control layer that minimises condensation risk. The Mechanically Fixed XT/TL Thermal Liner delivers substantial thermal insulation and drylining performance in a single application, making it the ideal choice for new builds and refurbishment schemes.

About

The 57.5mm Thermal Liner XT/TL-MF delivers high-performance thermal insulation and drylining in a single operation, making it the preferred solution for new construction and refurbishment work. It enhances your home's energy efficiency whilst delivering multiple advantages, including lower heating bills and superior comfort levels.

The 57.5mm Insulation Board is chemically stable and safe in use, manufactured with a blowing agent that carries zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and minimal Global Warming Potential (GWP).

Upgrading your home's thermal performance offers significant benefits, from reduced energy expenditure to enhanced living comfort. The Unilin XT/TL-MF Thermal Liner represents an effective approach to achieving these improvements and raising your property's energy standards.

The PIR board also delivers fire resistance performance through continuous adhesive ribbons, particularly around vulnerable areas such as window and door openings.

What are Insulated Plasterboards?

The 57.5mm XT/TL-MF insulated plasterboards ( 45mm insulation + 12.5mm plasterboard ) combine plasterboard with an integrated insulation layer, typically PIR-based. The insulation is bonded to the plasterboard to form a single, versatile panel that delivers both thermal performance and a finished surface. These panels are widely used in construction to enhance thermal and sound insulation, whilst streamlining installation and reducing labour time. Common applications include walls, ceilings, and floors, with options available in various dimensions and thicknesses to meet specific building specifications.
