Description

Unilin Insulation | The new name for Xtratherm Insulation in the UK & Ireland.

The 44.5mm XT/TL-MF Thin-R Thermal Liner (Mechanically Fixed) combines a Unilin 35mm PIR insulation layer with a composite foil facing, bonded to 9.5mm tapered edge plasterboard. This composite panel delivers thermal insulation and drylining in a single product, ideal for internal walls, sloped roofs, and ceilings where mechanical fixing is required.

Both surfaces of the 44.5mm Insulated Plasterboard carry a composite foil facing with an integral vapour control layer, helping to minimise condensation risk. The mechanically fixed XT/TL Thermal Liner delivers substantial thermal performance and drylining capabilities in one operation, making it the ideal choice for new builds and refurbishment work.

About

This 44.5mm Thermal Liner XT/TL-MF combines thermal insulation and drylining in a single operation, offering a practical solution for new construction and refurbishment projects. It enhances your property's energy efficiency whilst delivering benefits such as lower heating costs and enhanced comfort levels.

The 44.5mm Insulation Board is chemically stable and safe, manufactured using a blowing agent with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and minimal Global Warming Potential (GWP).

Upgrading your home's thermal performance offers significant advantages, from reduced energy bills to improved comfort. The Unilin XT/TL-MF Thermal Liner is an effective solution for achieving better energy efficiency in your property.

The PIR board also provides fire resistance through continuous adhesive ribbons, particularly around openings such as windows and doors.

What are Insulated Plasterboards?

The 44.5mm XT/TL-MF insulated plasterboards (35mm insulation + 9.5mm plasterboard) combine plasterboard with an insulation layer, typically PIR, bonded together to form a single multi-functional panel. This delivers both thermal performance and a finished surface in one product. They're widely used in construction to enhance thermal and sound insulation, whilst streamlining the installation process. Common applications include walls, ceilings, and floors, with various sizes and thicknesses available to meet specific building needs.
