Description

Unilin Insulation | The new name for Xtratherm Insulation in the UK & Ireland.

The 69.5mm XT/TL-MF Thin-R Thermal Liner (Mechanically Fixed) features a Unilin 60mm PIR insulation core bonded to 9.5mm tapered edge plasterboard with composite foil facing. This insulated composite panel delivers thermal performance and drylining in one step, ideal for internal walls, sloped roofs, and ceilings where mechanical fixing is required.

The composite foil facing on both sides incorporates an integral vapour control layer, helping prevent condensation buildup. The mechanically fixed XT/TL Thermal Liner combines high thermal insulation with drylining functionality in a single operation, making it the go-to choice for new builds and refurbishment work.

About

The 69.5mm Thermal Liner XT/TL-MF combines thermal insulation with drylining in one operation, delivering an efficient solution for new construction and renovation projects. This product enhances your home's energy performance, reducing heating costs and creating more comfortable living spaces.

The 69.5mm insulation board is chemically stable and manufactured using a blowing agent with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and minimal Global Warming Potential (GWP).

Upgrading your home's energy efficiency offers significant advantages, including lower utility bills and enhanced comfort. The Unilin XT/TL-MF Thermal Liner is an effective solution for achieving these improvements and boosting your home's thermal performance.

The PIR board also delivers fire resistance through continuous adhesive ribbons, particularly around openings such as windows and doors.

What are Insulated Plasterboards?

The 69.5mm XT/TL-MF insulated plasterboards (60mm insulation + 9.5mm plasterboard) combine plasterboard with an integrated insulation layer, typically PIR-based. The insulation bonds to the plasterboard, creating a single multi-functional panel offering both thermal performance and a finished surface. These panels improve thermal and sound insulation, streamline installation, and reduce labour time. Commonly used in walls, ceilings, and floors, they come in various sizes and thicknesses to match specific building needs.
