Description

Unilin Insulation | The new name for Xtratherm Insulation in the UK & Ireland.

The 77.5mm XT/TL-MF Thin-R Thermal Liner (Mechanically Fixed) features a Unilin 65mm PIR insulation layer bonded to 12.5mm tapered edge plasterboard with composite foil facing on both sides. This composite panel delivers thermal insulation and drylining in a single solution, ideal for internal walls, sloped roofs, and ceilings where mechanical fixing is required.

The dual-sided composite foil facing incorporates an integral vapour control layer, reducing condensation risk. The mechanically fixed XT/TL Thermal Liner combines high thermal performance with drylining capability in one operation, making it a practical choice for new builds and renovation work.

About

The 77.5mm Thermal Liner XT/TL-MF delivers thermal insulation and drylining simultaneously, offering an efficient solution for new construction and refurbishment projects. This product enhances your home's energy efficiency, delivering benefits such as lower heating costs and improved comfort levels.

The insulation board is chemically stable and manufactured using a blowing agent with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and minimal Global Warming Potential (GWP). Upgrading your home's thermal performance provides substantial advantages, including reduced energy expenses and enhanced living comfort. The XT/TL-MF Thermal Liner is an effective way to improve energy efficiency and reduce your carbon footprint.

The PIR board offers fire resistance through continuous adhesive ribbons, particularly around vulnerable areas such as window and door openings.

What are Insulated Plasterboards?

The 77.5mm XT/TL-MF insulated plasterboards (65mm insulation + 12.5mm plasterboard) combine plasterboard with an integrated insulation layer, typically PIR-based. The insulation bonds to the plasterboard, creating a single multi-functional panel that provides both thermal performance and a finished surface. These boards are widely used in construction to enhance thermal and sound insulation, whilst streamlining installation. Common applications include walls, ceilings, and floors, with various sizes and thicknesses available to match specific building needs.
