Description

Unilin Insulation | The new name for Xtratherm Insulation in the UK & Ireland.

The 109.5mm XT/TL-MF Thin-R Thermal Liner (Mechanically Fixed) combines a Unilin 100mm PIR insulation core with a composite foil facing bonded to 9.5mm tapered edge plasterboard. This composite panel delivers both insulation and drylining for internal walls, sloped roofs, and ceilings, though it is designed exclusively for mechanically fixed installations.

The 109.5mm Insulated Plasterboard features composite foil facing on both sides with an integrated vapour control layer that minimises condensation risk. The Mechanically fixed XT/TL Thermal Liner delivers substantial thermal insulation and drylining performance in a single step, making it the ideal choice for new builds and refurbishment schemes.

About

The 109.5mm Thermal Liner XT/TL-MF delivers comprehensive thermal insulation and drylining in a single installation, making it the preferred option for new construction and renovation work. This solution enhances your property's energy efficiency whilst reducing heating expenses and creating more comfortable living spaces.

The 109.5mm Insulation Board is chemically inert and manufactured with a blowing agent featuring zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and minimal Global Warming Potential (GWP), ensuring safe application.

Upgrading your home's thermal performance delivers significant advantages, including lower energy bills and enhanced comfort levels. The Unilin XT/TL-MF Thermal Liner represents an effective investment in energy efficiency and sustainable living.

The PIR board offers fire resistance properties through continuous adhesive ribbons, particularly around vulnerable areas such as window and door openings.

What are Insulated Plasterboards?

The 109.5mm XT/TL-MF insulated plasterboards (100mm insulation + 9.5mm plasterboard) integrate plasterboard with an insulation layer, typically PIR-based. The insulation bonds to the plasterboard to form a unified, multi-purpose panel providing both thermal performance and a finished surface. These materials are widely used in construction to enhance thermal and sound insulation properties whilst streamlining installation. Common applications include walls, ceilings, and floors, with options available in various dimensions and thicknesses to meet specific building needs.
