Description

Unilin Insulation | The new name for Xtratherm Insulation in the UK & Ireland.

The 32.5mm XT/TL-MF Thin-R Thermal Liner (Mechanically Fixed) combines a Unilin 20mm PIR insulation layer with a composite foil facing, bonded to 12.5mm tapered edge plasterboard. This composite panel delivers both thermal insulation and drylining in a single product, suited for internal walls, sloped roofs, and ceilings when mechanically fixed.

The 32.5mm Insulated Plasterboard incorporates a composite foil facing on both sides with an integral vapour control layer, minimising condensation risk. Designed for high-performance thermal insulation and drylining in a single operation, this Mechanically Fixed Thermal Liner suits both new builds and renovation work.

About

The 32.5mm Thermal Liner XT/TL-MF delivers thermal insulation and drylining in one operation, making it ideal for newbuild and refurbishment projects. This product enhances your home's energy performance whilst offering benefits such as lower heating costs and improved comfort levels.

The 32.5mm Insulation Board is chemically inert and manufactured with a blowing agent featuring zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and low Global Warming Potential (GWP).

Upgrading your home's thermal performance delivers substantial advantages, including reduced energy expenditure and enhanced living standards. The Unilin XT/TL-MF Thermal Liner represents an efficient solution for achieving improved energy efficiency in your property.

The PIR board also delivers fire resistance through continuous adhesive ribbons, particularly around openings such as windows and doors.

What are Insulated Plasterboards?

The 32.5mm XT/TL-MF insulated plasterboards ( 20mm insulation + 12.5mm plasterboard ) combine plasterboard with an integrated insulation layer, typically manufactured from PIR Insulation. The insulation layer bonds to the plasterboard, creating a single multi-functional panel that provides thermal insulation and a finished surface in one product. These materials are widely used in construction to enhance thermal and sound insulation, whilst streamlining installation and reducing labour time. They are commonly installed in walls, ceilings, and floors, available in various sizes and thicknesses to meet specific building specifications.
