Description

Unilin Insulation | The new name for Xtratherm Insulation in the UK & Ireland.

The 72.5mm XT/TL-MF Thin-R Thermal Liner (Mechanically Fixed) features a Unilin 60mm PIR insulation layer and composite foil facing adhered to 12.5mm tapered edge plasterboard. This composite panel delivers both insulation and drylining for internal walls, sloped roofs, and ceilings, though it is limited to mechanically fixed installations.

The 72.5mm Insulated Plasterboard incorporates composite foil facing on both surfaces with an integrated vapour control layer to minimise condensation risk. Engineered for mechanical fixing, the XT/TL Thermal Liner delivers superior thermal performance and drylining in a single step, making it ideal for both new builds and renovation work.

About

The 72.5mm Thermal Liner XT/TL-MF combines thermal insulation and drylining in one operation, making it the go-to choice for new construction and refurbishment schemes. This solution enhances your home's energy efficiency while delivering benefits such as lower heating expenses and enhanced comfort levels.

The 72.5mm Insulation Board is chemically stable and safe in use, manufactured with a blowing agent that has zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and minimal Global Warming Potential (GWP).

Upgrading your home's energy performance offers substantial advantages, from reduced utility bills to improved indoor comfort. The Unilin XT/TL-MF Thermal Liner is a practical solution for achieving better energy efficiency in your property.

The PIR board also delivers fire resistance through continuous adhesive ribbons, particularly around openings such as windows and doors.

What are Insulated Plasterboards?

The 72.5mm XT/TL-MF insulated plasterboards ( 60mm insulation + 12.5mm plasterboard ) combine plasterboard with an insulation layer, typically PIR-based. The insulation is bonded to the plasterboard to form a single, versatile panel that offers both thermal performance and a finished surface. These panels are widely used in construction to enhance thermal and sound insulation, whilst streamlining installation. They work well in walls, ceilings, and floors, with various sizes and thicknesses available to meet specific building needs.
