Description

Unilin Insulation | The new name for Xtratherm Insulation in the UK & Ireland.

The 89.5mm XT/TL-MF Thin-R Thermal Liner (Mechanically Fixed) combines an 80mm PIR insulation layer with composite foil facing bonded to 9.5mm tapered edge plasterboard. This composite panel delivers both thermal insulation and drylining in a single product, ideal for internal walls, sloped roofs, and ceilings where mechanical fixing is required.

The 89.5mm Insulated Plasterboard features composite foil facing on both sides with an integral vapour control layer built in. This design minimises condensation risk whilst delivering high thermal performance and drylining capability in a single operation, making it the ideal choice for new builds and renovation work.

About

The 89.5mm Thermal Liner XT/TL-MF delivers thermal insulation and drylining in one operation, offering a practical solution for newbuild and refurbishment projects. It enhances your home's energy efficiency whilst reducing energy costs and creating improved living spaces.

The 89.5mm Insulation Board is chemically inert and manufactured with a blowing agent featuring zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and low Global Warming Potential (GWP).

Upgrading your home's energy performance delivers substantial benefits, including lower utility bills and enhanced comfort. The Unilin XT/TL-MF Thermal Liner provides an effective pathway to achieving these improvements and creating a more energy-efficient property.

The PIR board also offers fire resistance through continuous adhesive ribbons, particularly around openings such as windows and doors.

What are Insulated Plasterboards?

The 89.5mm XT/TL-MF insulated plasterboards (80mm insulation + 9.5mm plasterboard) combine plasterboard with a PIR insulation layer bonded together to form a single, multi-functional panel. This integrated design provides thermal insulation and a finished surface in one product, streamlining installation and reducing labour time. Commonly used in walls, ceilings, and floors, these panels come in various sizes and thicknesses to meet different building specifications and improve both thermal and sound insulation performance.
