Description

Unilin Insulation | The new name for Xtratherm Insulation in the UK & Ireland.

The 79.5mm XT/TL-MF Thin-R Thermal Liner (Mechanically Fixed) combines a Unilin 70mm PIR insulation layer with a composite foil facing, bonded to 9.5mm tapered edge plasterboard. This composite panel delivers insulation and drylining together, making it ideal for internal walls, sloped roofs, and ceilings where mechanical fixing is required.

The 79.5mm Insulated Plasterboard features composite foil facing on both sides with an integral vapour control layer built in, helping to minimise condensation risk. The Mechanically fixed XT/TL Thermal Liner delivers substantial thermal performance and drylining in a single step, making it the ideal choice for new builds and renovation work.

About

The 79.5mm Thermal Liner XT/TL-MF delivers high-performance thermal insulation and drylining in a single operation, making it the go-to solution for new construction and refurbishment projects. It boosts your home's energy efficiency whilst delivering multiple advantages, including lower heating bills and enhanced comfort.

The 79.5mm Insulation Board is chemically inert and safe, manufactured with a blowing agent featuring zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and minimal Global Warming Potential (GWP).

Upgrading your home's energy performance delivers substantial benefits, from reduced utility bills to improved comfort levels. The Unilin XT/TL-MF Thermal Liner is an excellent choice for achieving these improvements and creating a more energy-efficient home.

The PIR board also delivers fire resistance through continuous adhesive ribbons, particularly around openings such as windows and doors.

What are Insulated Plasterboards?

The 79.5mm XT/TL-MF insulated plasterboards ( 70mm insulation + 9.5mm plasterboard ) combine plasterboard with an integrated insulation layer, typically PIR-based. The insulation bonds to the plasterboard, creating a single multi-purpose panel that offers both thermal performance and a finished surface. These panels are widely used in construction to enhance thermal and sound insulation, whilst streamlining installation. They work well in walls, ceilings, and floors, and are available in various sizes and thicknesses to match specific building needs.
