Description

Unilin Insulation | The new name for Xtratherm Insulation in the UK & Ireland.

The 119.5mm XT/TL-MF Thin-R Thermal Liner (Mechanically Fixed) features a Unilin 110mm PIR insulation core bonded to 9.5mm tapered edge plasterboard with composite foil facing. This insulated composite panel delivers both thermal performance and drylining capabilities for internal walls, sloped roofs, and ceilings in mechanically fixed applications.

The 119.5mm Insulated Plasterboard incorporates composite foil facing on both sides with an integral vapour control layer to minimise condensation risk. Engineered to deliver superior thermal insulation and drylining performance in a single application, this Mechanically fixed XT/TL Thermal Liner represents the ideal choice for new builds and refurbishment schemes.

About

The 119.5mm Thermal Liner XT/TL-MF combines high-performance thermal insulation with drylining in a single operation, making it the go-to choice for new construction and refurbishment work. This solution enhances your home's energy efficiency whilst delivering cost savings and improved comfort.

The 119.5mm Insulation Board is chemically stable and manufactured using a blowing agent with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and minimal Global Warming Potential (GWP).

Upgrading your home's energy performance offers substantial advantages, from reduced heating bills to enhanced comfort levels. The Unilin XT/TL-MF Thermal Liner provides an efficient pathway to achieving improved thermal performance and lower energy consumption.

The PIR board delivers fire resistance through continuous adhesive ribbons, particularly around vulnerable areas such as window and door openings.

What are Insulated Plasterboards?

The 119.5mm XT/TL-MF insulated plasterboards (110mm insulation + 9.5mm plasterboard) combine gypsum plasterboard with an integrated insulation layer, typically manufactured from PIR. The insulation is bonded to the plasterboard, creating a unified panel that provides both thermal performance and a finished surface in one product. These materials are widely used in construction to enhance thermal and sound insulation, whilst streamlining installation timescales. Common applications include walls, ceilings, and floors, with options available in various dimensions and thicknesses to match specific building needs.
