Unilin Thin-R FR/MG 110mm Flat Roof Insulation

110mm Unilin FR/MG Flat Roof Insulation Board is a premium Polyisocyanurate product featuring mineral-coated glass facers, engineered for use beneath single-ply waterproofing systems and partially bonded built-up felt installations.

These 110mm FR/MG roof insulation boards must be installed using approved mechanical fixings or suitable adhesive bonding. Assessment of vapour control layer requirements should follow National Regulations.

Roof Design

Design considerations should align with BS 4841: Part 3 and Single Ply Roofing Association guidance.

Flat roof falls must be consistent and sufficient to prevent water pooling and ensure proper drainage.

Fire Performance

Fire rating for 110mm Unilin FR-MG, when tested to EN 13501-5 and BS 476 Part 3 'External Fire Exposure Roof Test', depends on the waterproofing system selected.

Vapour Control Layer

An approved continuous vapour control layer must be installed beneath the insulation (except over sealed metal deck systems). For mechanically fixed boards, use a minimum 1000 gauge polythene vapour control layer, lapped and sealed with double-sided tape beneath the Roof insulation. Vapour control layer should be extended up vertical upstands and around penetrations, sealed to fully encase the insulation prior to roof finish installation.
