70mm Unilin Thin-R FR/MG Flat Roof Insulation Board

70mm Unilin FR/MG Flat Roof Insulation Board is a premium polyisocyanurate product featuring mineral-coated glass facers, engineered for performance across diverse roofing applications including single-ply waterproofing systems and partially bonded built-up felt installations.

These 70mm roof insulation boards must be fixed using approved mechanical fasteners or adequately adhered. Assessment of vapour control layer requirements should follow current Building Regulations guidance.

Flat roof gradients must be consistent and sufficient to prevent water pooling and ensure effective drainage.

Fire Performance

Fire classification for 70mm Unilin FR-MG, when assessed to EN 13501-5 and BS 476 Part 3 'External Fire Exposure Roof Test', will depend on the waterproofing system selected.

Vapour Control Layer

An approved, continuous vapour control layer is required beneath the insulation (except where used over sealed metal deck systems). For mechanically fixed boards, employ a minimum 1000 gauge polythene vapour control layer, lapped and sealed with double-sided tape beneath the Roof insulation. At vertical upstands and service penetrations, extend the VCL upwards and seal to fully enclose the insulation layer before completing the roof membrane.
