130mm Unilin FR/MG Flat Roof Insulation Board delivers premium Polyisocyanurate performance with mineral-coated glass facers, engineered for single-ply waterproofing systems and partially bonded built-up felt roofing applications.

Installation of the 130mm FR/MG roof insulation boards utilises approved mechanical fixings or effective adhesive bonding. Vapour control layer requirements must be determined according to Building Regulations.

Flat roof falls must be consistent and sufficiently pitched to prevent water pooling.

Fire Performance

Fire classification for 130mm Unilin FR-MG, when assessed to EN 13501-5 and BS 476 Part 3 'External Fire Exposure Roof Test', depends on the waterproofing system selected.

Vapour Control Layer

An approved continuous vapour control layer should be positioned beneath the insulation (except over sealed metal deck systems). For mechanically fixed boards, employ a minimum 1000 gauge polythene vapour control layer, lapped and sealed with double-sided tape beneath the Roof insulation. Vertical upstands and penetrations require the VCL to be extended and sealed to fully enclose the insulation layer before roof finishing.
