A vapour control layer should be lapped and sealed beneath the insulation board. For fully adhered systems, board joints require taping subject to the adhesive system specifications.
The insulation boards are embedded within a bitumen layer on 3G type felt to BS EN 13707: 2013 (Flexible sheets for waterproofing. Reinforced bitumen sheets for roof waterproofing adhered to the deck). Unilin recommends all systems include mechanical fixings or be secured using appropriate adhesive products.
