Vapour Control Layer

A vapour control layer should be lapped and sealed beneath the insulation board. For fully adhered systems, board joints require taping according to the adhesive system specifications.

Bonded Board Installation

The insulation boards are set within a bitumen layer on 3G-type felt compliant with BS EN 13707: 2013 (Flexible sheets for waterproofing. Reinforced bitumen sheets for roof waterproofing) and adhered to the deck. Unilin recommends all systems incorporate mechanical fixings or use alternative suitable adhesive methods.
