Integral Vapor Control Layer

The composite glass tissue facing on SR/TB acts as a gas and vapor-resistant layer, minimising condensation risk. When the Safe-R SR/TB joints are sealed and taped following standard drylining practices, you achieve a complete vapor control layer across the wall.

Fire Stops

When drylining walls, fire stops must be installed at the top and bottom of each board, plus around all openings including doors and windows. These unbroken lines of adhesive prevent fire from spreading behind the insulation. They also help eliminate thermal bridging, improving overall wall U-Value performance.

Handling, Cutting, and Storage

PIR insulation boards must be stored on a clean, dry, level surface above ground and protected from weather exposure. Polythene wrapping alone does not provide adequate outdoor protection. Take care to protect boards during storage and throughout construction. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling insulation materials.
