Integral Vapor Control Layer

The composite glass tissue facing on SR/TB acts as an effective gas and vapor barrier, significantly minimising condensation risk. When joints are sealed and taped following professional drylining standards, a complete vapor control layer is formed across the installation.

Fire Stops

When installing drylining systems, fire stops must be positioned at the top and bottom of each board, plus around all openings including doors and windows. These fire stops comprise continuous lines of adhesive that prevent fire spread behind the insulation. The unbroken adhesive lines also eliminate thermal bridging, resulting in improved U-Value performance for the wall assembly.

Handling, Cutting, and Storage

Unilin PIR insulation Board must be stored on a clean, dry, level surface above ground and protected from weather exposure. Polythene wrapping alone cannot provide adequate outdoor protection. Take appropriate precautions to protect the insulation during storage and on-site handling. Always wear suitable personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with insulation materials.
