Integral Vapor Control Layer

The composite glass tissue facing on SR/TB acts as a gas and vapour barrier, significantly reducing condensation risk. When joints are properly sealed and taped following standard drylining practices, a complete vapour control layer is created across the wall surface.

Fire Stops

When drylining walls, fire stops must be installed at the top and bottom of each board and around all openings including doors and windows. These consist of continuous lines of adhesive that prevent fire spread behind the insulation. The unbroken adhesive lines also help eliminate thermal bridging, improving overall wall U-Values.

Handling, Cutting, and Storage

PIR insulation boards must be stored on a clean, level surface above ground and protected from weather exposure. Polythene wrapping alone does not provide adequate outdoor protection. Take care to protect boards during storage and throughout construction. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling insulation materials.
