Unilin Insulation | The new name for Xtratherm Insulation in the UK & Ireland.
29.5mm Thin-R Thermal Liner XT/TL Insulated Plasterboard combines a Unilin 20mm PIR insulation core with two composite kraft facings bonded to 9.5mm tapered edge plasterboard using a proprietary adhesive system. This composite panel delivers both thermal performance and drylining in a single application.
Engineered for internal wall use, the product features integral vapour control layers within its composite kraft facings to minimise condensation risk. The Thin-R Thermal Liner offers substantial thermal insulation alongside drylining capabilities, making it an excellent choice for new builds and renovation work.

The 29.5mm Thermal Liner XT/TL delivers comprehensive thermal insulation and drylining performance in one operation, making it the preferred choice for new construction and refurbishment schemes. This product enhances your home's energy efficiency whilst reducing heating costs and creating a more comfortable living environment.
The 29.5mm Insulation Board is chemically stable and safe, manufactured with a blowing agent featuring zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and minimal Global Warming Potential (GWP).
Upgrading your home's energy performance delivers significant advantages, including reduced utility bills and enhanced comfort levels. Thin-R Thermal Liner represents an effective solution for achieving these improvements and boosting overall energy efficiency.
The PIR board also delivers fire resistance benefits through continuous adhesive ribbons, particularly around vulnerable areas such as window and door openings.
The 29.5mm XT/TL insulated plasterboards ( 20mm insulation + 9.5mm plasterboard ) combine plasterboard with an integrated insulation layer, typically PIR-based. The insulation bonds to the plasterboard to form a unified, multi-purpose panel offering both thermal performance and a finished surface. These materials are widely used in construction to enhance thermal and sound insulation, whilst streamlining and accelerating installation. Applications include walls, ceilings, and floors, with various sizes and thicknesses available to meet specific building needs.
