Integral vapour control layer

1. Standard ventilated roof designs typically require a 50mm clear ventilation gap between the insulation and roofing felt. Where a vapour-permeable membrane is specified, this gap may be reduced or omitted entirely. Consult the roof membrane manufacturer's technical guidance for specific recommendations.
2. Conventional ceiling installations position fiberglass insulation between and over joists, which conceals the upper joist sections and creates safety concerns during roof access. Applying SR/PR to the underside before fixing plasterboard addresses thermal bridging whilst keeping joists visible and accessible. Alternatively, Safe-R SR/TB Drylining boards offer an equivalent solution, enabling safe roof space access and storage capability.

Handling, Cutting, and Storage:

1. Store Unilin pitched roof insulation on a clean, level, raised surface under protective covering.
2. Polythene wrapping alone does not provide adequate weather protection.
