Integral vapour control layer

1. For ventilated roof systems, maintain a 50mm clear ventilation gap between the insulation and roofing felt. Where a vapour-permeable roof membrane is used, this gap may reduce or be removed entirely. Always consult the membrane manufacturer's specifications for guidance.
2. Standard ceiling installations typically position fiberglass insulation between and over joists, which obscures the upper joist sections and creates access difficulties. Apply SR/PR to the underside to address thermal bridging before fitting plasterboard. Alternatively, use Safe-R SR/TB Drylining boards to maintain visible joists and safe roof space access for storage.

Handling, Cutting, and Storage:

1. Store Unilin pitched roof insulation on a clean, level, raised surface under protective covering.
2. Polythene wrapping alone does not provide adequate weather protection.
3. Protect the insulation from damage during storage and installation.
