Integral vapour control layer

1. For traditional ventilated roofs, maintain a 50mm clear ventilation gap between the insulation and roofing felt. Where a vapour-permeable membrane is used, this gap may reduce or be removed entirely. Always check the roof membrane manufacturer's specifications for guidance.
2. Standard ceiling installations typically position fiberglass insulation between and above joists, which obscures the upper joists and creates access concerns. Applying SR/PR to the underside before fitting plasterboard addresses thermal bridging through joists. Alternatively, Safe-R SR/TB Drylining boards offer another solution. Both methods maintain visible joists for safe roof access and storage use.
