Integral vapour control layer

1. For traditional ventilated roofs, a 50mm clear ventilation gap between the insulation and roofing felt is standard practice. Where vapour-permeable membranes are used, this gap may reduce or be eliminated. Always consult the roof membrane manufacturer's specifications for guidance.
2. Standard ceiling installations typically place fiberglass insulation between and over joists, which obscures the upper joist sections and creates safety concerns when accessing roof spaces. To address thermal bridging through joists, apply SR/PR to the underside before installing plasterboard. Alternatively, Safe-R SR/TB Drylining boards offer another solution.
