Micro Cell Technology

IKO Enertherm incorporates Micro Cell Technology (MCT), achieved through optimised raw material selection and production processes, creating an exceptionally fine cell structure.

Shape retention: These insulation boards preserve their shape and dimensional stability better than standard PIR Boards with larger cell structures. This prevents thermal bridging and maintains insulating performance throughout the product's lifespan.

Moisture resistance: MCT technology delivers very low long-term water absorption (< 0.6%) in 30mm IKO insulation boards compared to alternative materials. The PIR boards resist rot and mould while retaining their thermal value, as water absorption does not increase weight.

Pressure insulation: 30mm IKO PIR boards withstand substantial loads due to their high elasticity. MCT technology provides flexible cells that resist rupture and prevent permanent indentations even under foot traffic.
