Description

The 75mm IKO Enertherm ALU PIR Insulation Board delivers high-performance thermal insulation with a rigid polyisocyanurate foam core that contains no CFCs, HCFCs, or HFCs. This 75mm Insulation Board features dual-sided aluminium facing comprising seven layers of reflective ALU cladding for superior gas-tightness. The PIR Board undergoes rigorous testing to verify its performance against water ingress, mechanical loading, corrosion, and thermal emissivity across demanding applications.

Range Of Applications

  1. Rooftop: Flat Roof Insulation for timber, concrete and steel deck.
  2. Sarking: pitched roof insulation (type nF with neutral felt).
  3. Floor: floor insulation (underfloor heating and concrete floors).
  4. Wall: cavity wall insulation.
  5. Wrap: outside wall insulation (closed joints).
  6. Comfort: loft insulation.
  7. Comfort Easy: Loft floor insulation.

This 75mm PIR board suits external walls, pitched roofs, floors, internal walls, inverted roofs, metal roofs, and flat roofs, delivering outstanding thermal performance across all applications. The superior insulation properties reduce energy consumption and improve thermal retention in any building. Enhanced energy efficiency translates to reduced heating and cooling costs—a significant benefit given current energy price pressures. The boards are also environmentally responsible, containing no CFCs, HCFCs, or HFCs, making them safe for the environment.

About

Pairing the 75mm PIR insulation board with Roof Membranes is straightforward, and the boards maintain their thermal performance and structural integrity throughout their service life thanks to excellent dimensional stability. These boards resist rot and mould growth, guaranteeing extended durability. The combination of high thermal values and slim profile minimises overall build thickness, maximising usable space in roofs, floors, and cavities.

Micro Cell Technology

IKO Enertherm incorporates proprietary Micro Cell Technology (MCT), developed through careful selection of raw materials and precise manufacturing processes. This creates an exceptionally fine cell structure within the insulation material.

Shape retention: IKO Enertherm boards maintain their form and dimensional stability superior to PIR Boards with larger cell structures. This stability prevents thermal bridging and ensures consistent insulation performance over the product's lifespan.

Moisture resistance: MCT technology delivers exceptionally low long-term water absorption (< 0.6%) compared to alternative insulation solutions. The PIR boards remain resistant to rot and mould, preserving their insulation value without weight gain from moisture uptake.

Pressure insulation: The 75mm IKO PIR boards withstand substantial compressive loads due to their high elasticity. MCT-engineered flexible cells prevent rupture and permanent indentation, even under foot traffic.
