IKO Enertherm boards benefit from proprietary Micro Cell Technology (MCT), created through carefully balanced raw material selection and manufacturing processes. This produces an exceptionally fine foam cell structure.
Shape retention: These insulation boards maintain their form and dimensional stability better than PIR Boards with larger cell structures. This prevents thermal bridging and extends service life without compromising insulation performance.
Moisture resistance: MCT technology delivers very low long-term water absorption (< 0.6%) in 200mm IKO insulation boards compared to standard materials. The PIR boards stay rot and mould-free, maintaining their R-value since water uptake is minimised.
