The EWI-075 Silicone Render is a polymer-modified, ready-to-use coating engineered for external wall applications. This thin-coat system delivers a decorative finish and performs exceptionally well across brick, concrete, render carrier boards, traditional plaster, gypsum, and external wall insulation substrates.

Distinguished by its superior breathability, this silicone render pairs ideally with breathable insulation materials used in external wall insulation schemes. Whether specifying Mineral Wool or Wood Fibre insulation, the render maintains optimal vapour permeability for your system.

The EWI-075 offers flexibility in application, functioning both as part of complete external wall insulation systems and as a standalone render-only finish. Compared to thicker alternatives such as sand and cement or monocouche systems, this silicone formulation provides superior crack resistance and extended durability.

2. Select from multiple grain sizes—0.5mm, 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm, and 3mm—to achieve your preferred surface texture. A 0.5mm grain produces a smooth, refined finish, whilst a 3mm grain creates pronounced texture and visual depth.

Application

EWI-075 Silicone Render is supplied ready for use and requires no water addition. Apply directly from the container. Prior to application, stir thoroughly to ensure uniform pigment distribution. Always verify colour accuracy against your specification before commencing work.

To apply the render, trowel the material onto the prepared substrate, then use a plastic float to create your desired texture profile. As a thin-coat system, application thickness must correspond to the selected grain size.

Application Specifics

When installing EWI-075 Silicone Render on building elevations, ensure sufficient applicators are present to complete each elevation continuously. The render sets quickly, particularly in warm conditions. Achieve uniformity by promptly rubbing up the applied material. Partial elevation coverage will result in visible joint lines when the full elevation is completed.
