The EWI-075 Silicone Render is a polymer-modified, ready-to-use coating engineered for external application on building facades. This thin-coat render system delivers a decorative finish and bonds effectively to brick, concrete, render carrier boards, traditional plasters, gypsum surfaces, and external wall insulation systems.

The EWI-075 excels in breathability, making it an ideal match for breathable insulants in external wall insulation applications. Whether paired with Mineral Wool or Wood Fibre insulation, this render maintains the vapour permeability essential for system performance.

The silicone formulation offers superior flexibility compared to thicker alternatives such as sand and cement or monocouche renders. This flexibility reduces cracking risk and extends the service life of the decorative finish. The render can be applied as a standalone finish without insulation backing.

Application

Application involves trowelling the render onto the prepared substrate, then using a plastic float to establish the desired texture profile. As a thin-coat system, application thickness must correspond to the selected grain size specification.

Application Specifics

When installing EWI-075 Silicone Render on building elevations, ensure sufficient applicators are present on-site to complete each elevation in a single session. The render sets quickly, particularly in warm conditions, and rapid finishing is necessary to achieve uniform appearance. Partial elevation rendering will produce visible joint marks where sections meet upon completion of the full elevation.
