Bespoke 90mm rainscreen façade systems enable numerous system configurations, combining various materials with different methods for securing and supporting external cladding to the underlying structure. When fixings and supports penetrate the insulation layer to reach the structure, they create thermal bridges that can reduce overall thermal performance. Thermal isolators may help reduce these effects, but the choice and positioning of fixings and supports can increase heat transfer through the façade assembly, affecting the U-value.
