Bespoke 130mm rainscreen façade systems accommodate numerous construction possibilities, combining different materials with various methods for securing and anchoring external cladding to the underlying structure. When fixings and supports penetrate through the insulation layer to reach the structural frame, they create thermal bridges that can substantially reduce overall façade thermal performance. Whilst thermal isolators can help minimise these effects, the choice and positioning of fixings and supports may increase heat transmission through the façade assembly, ultimately affecting the U-value.
