Discover the 50mm Kingspan K-Roc® Rainscreen Façade Insulation Slab Class A1 – a premium rock mineral fibre insulation slab engineered specifically for installation beneath rainscreen façades across all building types and heights.
This 50mm slab delivers exceptional thermal performance with a certified thermal conductivity of 0.034 W/mK. Weighing just 45 kg/m³, it combines lightweight handling with outstanding insulation capability.
Each slab measures 600mm wide by 1200mm long (4' by 2'), providing 0.72m² coverage per board. Manufactured to the highest standards, the product holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, plus BBA Certificate 20/5845 for rainscreen façade applications.
The 50mm K-Roc Rainscreen Slab has been rigorously tested to BS 8414-2: 2015 + A1: 2017, demonstrating superior fire performance in external cladding systems. It also meets BES 6001 certification for responsible sourcing of construction materials.
Bespoke 50mm rainscreen façade systems accommodate numerous construction variations, combining different materials with diverse methods for securing and positioning external cladding to the underlying structure. When fixings and supports penetrate through the insulation layer to reach the structural frame, they create thermal bridges that can reduce overall façade thermal efficiency. Thermal isolators may help minimise these effects, though the choice and positioning of fixings and supports can still increase heat transmission through the façade assembly, affecting the U-value calculation.
