Description

62.5mm Mannok Therm Laminate-Kraft / MLK PIR combines a 50mm insulation board with 12.5mm plasterboard in a single composite panel. This fibre-free product features kraft paper facing on one surface and plasterboard bonded to the reverse, delivering effective thermal performance for insulation applications.

The product excels when installed beneath roof rafters, significantly reducing heat loss through the roof structure and eliminating thermal bridging. The kraft paper facing makes it particularly suitable for dry-lining work, where it can be secured using dot-and-dab adhesive or mechanical fixings.

Previously marketed as 62.5mm Quinn Therm QL-Kraft, Mannok Therm Laminate-Kraft / MLK PIR insulation delivers high-performance thermal properties in a convenient insulated plasterboard format.

Benefits of Mannok Therm QL-Kraft Boards

62.5mm Mannok Insulated Plasterboard QL-Kraft rigid insulation suits both new builds and renovation projects, particularly for internal dry lining and rafter-level roof applications.

Its low thermal conductivity minimises the thickness required to meet target U-values, providing an efficient and economical solution. The product streamlines installation by combining thermal insulation and internal finishing in one step, reducing overall insulation installation time and labour expenses.

Applications

  1. Cavity wall: QL-Kraft is used in timber frame construction.
  2. Solid walls: QL-Kraft is applied for internal dry lining and fixed to plaster dabs.
  3. Cavity walls: QL-Kraft is used for internal dry lining and fixed to plaster dabs.
  4. Pitched roof: QL-Kraft is installed below rafters to minimize heat loss through the roof.

Composition

Mannok Therm QL-Kraft construction comprises a 50mm PIR foam core bonded to 12.5mm or 9.5mm* plasterboard, with composite kraft paper facings applied. The gas-filled foam cells provide superior thermal performance and structural strength, whilst the kraft facing enables direct board adhesion to wall surfaces.

Environmental Certified

Certified to ISO 14001 - Environmental Management Systems, Mannok Therm boasts zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and Global Warming Potential (GWP) below 5. QL-Kraft achieves an A+ rating under BRE's Green Guide assessment.
