Installation

The roof deck must be clean and dry prior to fitting 50mm Inno-Fix boards. When installing flat Inno-Fix insulation boards, the roof deck should be constructed with adequate fall to all rainwater outlets. Install a minimum 50mm upstand of insulation board around the roof perimeter and use approved angle fillets at upstands or kerbs.

• Position the boards over a Vapour Control Layer (VCL). When fixing to a sealed metal deck, a VCL is not required.
• Adhere to manufacturer's instructions when applying the waterproofing membrane.
• Extend the waterproofing vertically at upstands to at least 150 mm above the top of the horizontal insulation layer or 300 mm above the deck.

Resistance to solvents

Inno-Fix provides protection against dilute alkalis and acids, mineral oil and petrol exposure. The insulation does not resist ketonic solvents. Do not use damaged boards.

Durability

When installed to specification, Inno-Fix offers indefinite service life, with longevity determined by the supporting structure and environmental conditions. It must not be used to bridge dampness or in persistently damp or humid environments. The fibre-free core and facings resist mould and microbial attack and offer no nutritional value to pests.
