Intended Uses

EWI Pro – Metal Screw Fixings are engineered for securing insulation boards to substrates ABCDE. The plastic-coated metal pin design substantially reduces thermal bridging concerns.

These fixings work effectively with concrete, brick, and various blockwork materials. Where substrate compatibility is uncertain, conducting a pull test will establish whether the surface can adequately support an EWI system. They integrate seamlessly with EPS, XPS, and Mineral Wool insulation boards.

Application Instructions

• Drill a perpendicular hole into the substrate and clear away any loose material.
• Form a countersink recess using a suitable router or cutting tool.
• Position the connector in the hole so the anchor plate aligns flush with the EWI/ETICS indented layer.
• Tighten the fixing by screwing or striking the connector pin with a hammer.
• Add a thermo dowel cap for enhanced thermal performance.
• Check alignment and seal the installation to guarantee a tight seal.
