Manufacturer: 90mm Cordek Cellcore HXS®

The 90mm Cordek Cellcore HX S Under Slab Grade 32/42 functions as a protective barrier beneath reinforced concrete floor insulation slabs, reducing ground heave impact by limiting upward force transmission to your structure.

This Anti Heave Board—the 90mm Cordek Cellcore HXS Grade 32/42—is engineered and tested for concrete depths up to 1220mm, with proven performance credentials meeting all specified requirements.

Key Attributes:

  1. Reduces upward forces transferred to the structure from ground heave.
  2. Wide range of profiles and grades available for different project needs.
  3. BBA certified for assured quality and dependability.
  4. Meets NHBC Technical Standards, confirming compliance with industry requirements.
  5. BRE Global verified with Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) credentials.
  6. Manufactured using precision moulding for consistent, reliable performance.
  7. Available with optional Filcor insulation for permanent formwork on ground beams or passive gas venting.
  8. Protected by patented technology for distinctive performance benefits.

Our standard range includes various depths and grades suited to typical soil heave scenarios and concrete thicknesses. We also supply specialist variants for pile caps, ground beams, or applications requiring integrated insulation, permanent formwork, or passive gas venting.

Applications

The 90mm Cellcore HX S range protects reinforced concrete floor slabs from upward forces caused by ground heave effects.

Usability

For concrete thicknesses between 1220mm and 2000mm, further grades of Cellcore are available. For further advice please contact the InsulationBee Technical Team on 02038839057 / 02038839057.

Design Notes

  1. Each 90mm Cellcore hxs grade is engineered to support a defined concrete thickness, plus an allowance for live loads of 1.5 kN/m², whilst maintaining minimal creep compression over a 16-hour curing period. This is termed the "SAFE LOAD."

  2. When the predetermined load is reached, the polystyrene legs of the 90mm Cordek panels will buckle and collapse as underlying ground moves upward—this is called the "FAIL LOAD."

  3. During design, ensure the slab, beam, or pile cap is sized to handle the difference between its weight and the fail load, as shown in the design examples on the following page.
