Manufacturer: 90mm Cordek Cellcore HXS®

The 90mm Cordek Cellcore HX S Grade 7/10 functions as a protective barrier beneath reinforced concrete floor insulation slabs, reducing ground heave impact by suppressing upward force transmission to your building.

This Anti Heave Board has been engineered and tested to perform reliably with concrete thicknesses up to 220mm, meeting stringent performance standards consistently. The 90mm Cordek Cellcore HXS Grade 7/10 delivers proven protection for your foundation.

Key Attributes:

  1. Reduces upward forces transmitted to the structure from ground heave.
  2. Available in multiple profiles and grades for different project requirements.
  3. BBA certified for quality assurance and structural reliability.
  4. Meets NHBC Technical Standards for industry compliance.
  5. Verified by BRE Global with Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) credentials.
  6. Precision-moulded construction ensures consistent, superior performance.
  7. Can be supplied with integrated Filcor insulation for permanent ground beam formwork or passive gas venting.
  8. Backed by patented technology for distinctive performance benefits.

Our product range includes various depths and grades tailored to common soil heave scenarios and concrete specifications. We also supply specialist variations for pile cap applications, ground beams, or projects needing integrated insulation, permanent formwork, or passive ventilation systems.

Applications

The 90mm Cellcore HX S range protects reinforced concrete floor slabs from upward forces caused by ground heave effects.

Usability

For concrete thicknesses between 1220mm and 2000mm, further grades of Cellcore are available. For further advice please contact the InsulationBee Technical Team on 02038839057 / 02038839057.

Design Notes

  1. Each 90mm Cellcore hxs grade is engineered to support a specific concrete thickness, plus an allowance for live loads of 1.5 kN/m², with minimal creep compression over a 16-hour curing period. This is termed the "SAFE LOAD."

  2. When the load reaches the predetermined threshold, the polystyrene legs of the 90mm Cordek panels will buckle and collapse as underlying ground moves upward—this is called the "FAIL LOAD."

  3. During design, ensure the slab, beam, or pile cap is sized to handle the difference between its weight and the fail load, as shown in the design examples on the following page.
