Integral Vapor Control Layer

The composite glass tissue facing on the 87.5mm SR/TB-MF acts as a gas and vapor impermeable barrier, significantly reducing condensation risks. When joints are properly sealed and taped following standard drylining practices, a continuous vapor control layer is created across the entire installation.

Fire Stops

When drylining walls, fire stops must be installed at the top and bottom of each board, as well as around all openings including doors and windows. These consist of continuous lines of adhesive that prevent fire from spreading behind the insulation layer. The unbroken adhesive lines also help eliminate thermal bridging, improving the overall U-Value performance of the wall assembly.

Handling, Cutting, and Storage

PIR insulation boards must be stored on a clean, level surface above ground and protected from weather exposure. Polythene wrapping alone does not provide adequate outdoor protection. Take care to protect the insulation during storage and throughout the building process. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling insulation materials.
