Integral Vapor Control Layer

The composite glass tissue facing on the 72.5mm SR/TB-MF acts as an impermeable gas and vapor barrier, substantially lowering condensation potential. When joints are properly sealed and taped following standard drylining practices, a complete vapor control layer forms across the installation.

Fire Stops

When drylining walls, fire stops must be installed at the top and bottom of each board and around all openings including doors and windows. These fire stops comprise continuous lines of adhesive that prevent fire from spreading behind the insulation. The unbroken adhesive lines also help eliminate thermal bridging, improving overall wall U-Value performance.

Handling, Cutting, and Storage

PIR insulation boards must be stored on a clean, level surface above ground and protected from weather exposure. Polythene wrapping alone does not provide adequate outdoor protection. Take proper care during storage and throughout construction to prevent damage. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling insulation materials.
