Specification Clause

The selected wall insulation will be 60mm XtroLiner XO/FB, manufactured to EN 13165 standards by Unilin Insulation. This wall insulation comprises a resilient modified Polyisocyanurate (PIR) core wrapped in textured, durable, low emissivity foil facings. The XtroLiner 60mm XO/FB variant carries an Agrément declared Lambda value of 0.021 W/mK.

Resistance 'R' Values

To calculate the resistance value for any thickness of Unilin 60mm PIR insulation, divide the material thickness (in metres) by its agrément declared lambda value. For example: Lambda 0.021 W/mK with 80mm thickness equals 0.080 ÷ 0.021, giving an R-Value of 3.80. Per EN 13165, R-Values must be rounded down to the nearest 0.05 (m2K/W).

Guidelines for Handling, Cutting, and Storage

1. Store 60mm Xtroliner XO/FB insulation on a clean, level surface above ground and protect from weather.
2. Polythene wrapping alone does not provide adequate protection against outdoor exposure.
3. Take precautions to protect the insulation during both storage and the construction process.
4. Always use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working with insulation materials.
