This Grade 7/10 anti heave board acts as a protective barrier beneath reinforced concrete floor insulation slabs, reducing the impact of ground heave by limiting the transfer of upward forces through the structure.
The 160mm Cordek Cellcore HXS Grade 7/10 is precisely calibrated to support concrete depths up to 220mm, having undergone comprehensive testing to confirm consistent performance against specified requirements.
Our standard range features multiple depths and grades to suit the typical combinations of soil heave potential and concrete thickness commonly found in projects. We also supply variations for applications beneath pile caps and ground beams, or where integrated insulation, permanent formwork, or passive gas venting is required.
The 160mm Cellcore HX S range protects reinforced concrete floor slabs from upward forces resulting from ground heave effects.

For concrete thicknesses between 1220mm and 2000mm, further grades of Cellcore are available. For further advice please contact the InsulationBee Technical Team on 02038839057 / 02038839057.
Each 160mm Cellcore hxs grade is engineered to support a defined concrete thickness, plus an additional allowance for live loads of 1.5 kN/m², whilst demonstrating minimal creep compression over a 16-hour curing period. This combined capacity is termed the \"SAFE LOAD.\"
When the predetermined load threshold is reached, the polystyrene legs of the 160mm Cordek panels will buckle and collapse as the underlying ground moves upward, referred to as the \"FAIL LOAD.\"
During design, ensure the slab, beam, or pile cap is sized to accommodate the difference between its weight and the fail load, as shown in the design examples on the following page.
