Design Notes

1. Each 160mm Cellcore hxs grade is engineered to support a defined concrete thickness, plus an allowance for live loads of 1.5 kN/m², whilst maintaining minimal creep compression over a 16-hour cure period. This is termed the \"SAFE LOAD.\"

2. When the load reaches the set threshold, the polystyrene legs of the 160mm Cordek panels will buckle and fail as the ground beneath rises, referred to as the \"FAIL LOAD.\"

3. During design, the slab, beam, or pile cap must be sized to handle the difference between its weight and the fail load, as shown in the design examples on the following page.
