Manufacturer: 160mm Cordek Cellcore HXS®

The 160mm Cordek Cellcore HX S Grade 24/32 acts as a protective barrier beneath reinforced concrete floor insulation slabs, reducing the impact of ground heave by limiting upward force transmission to your structure.

Engineered and calibrated specifically for concrete depths up to 900mm, the Anti Heave Board has undergone thorough testing to guarantee consistent performance against specified criteria.

Key Attributes:

  1. Reduces upward forces transferred to the structure from ground heave effects.
  2. Available in multiple profiles and grades to suit different project requirements.
  3. BBA certified for assured quality and dependability.
  4. Meets NHBC Technical Standards, confirming compliance with industry requirements.
  5. Verified by BRE Global with Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification.
  6. Manufactured using precision moulding techniques for reliable, uniform results.
  7. Can be supplied with optional Filcor insulation for permanent ground beam formwork or passive gas venting applications.
  8. Backed by patented technology for distinctive performance benefits.

Our range includes various depths and grades to match typical combinations of soil heave risk and concrete thickness. We also supply specialist variants for pile caps, ground beams, or applications requiring integrated insulation, permanent formwork, or passive gas venting systems.

Applications

The 160mm Cellcore HX S range protects reinforced concrete floor slabs from upward forces caused by ground heave effects.

Usability

For concrete thicknesses between 1220mm and 2000mm, further grades of Cellcore are available. For further advice please contact the InsulationBee Technical Team on 02038839057 / 02038839057.

Design Notes

  1. Each 160mm Cellcore hxs grade is engineered to support a specific concrete thickness, plus an allowance for live loads of 1.5 kN/m², whilst maintaining minimal creep compression over a 16-hour curing period. This is termed the \"SAFE LOAD.\"

  2. When the predetermined load limit is reached, the polystyrene legs of the 160mm Cordek panels will buckle and collapse as the underlying ground moves upward—this is known as the \"FAIL LOAD.\"

  3. During design, ensure the slab, beam, or pile cap is sized to handle the difference between its weight and the fail load, as shown in the design examples provided.
