Filcor 70 EPS insulation is used across many different applications, including lightweight structural fill and insulation solutions. The product comes in standard sheet dimensions or can be tailored to your exact installer requirements.
Standard sheets and blocks measure 2400mm long and 1200mm wide, with depth customised as needed.
Each Filcor sheet or block can be manufactured to your desired depth, from a minimum of 45mm to a maximum of 1200mm. Cordek also provides the option to hire an individual Hot Wire Cutter for specialist applications.
The production of Filcor insulation is notable for its low environmental footprint. Steam plays a key role in the process and is recycled multiple times throughout manufacturing. The production method creates zero waste, as all offcuts and rejected material are recovered and reused.
Resource-Efficient Composition: Filcor is made up of 98% air. This unique makeup makes it an exceptionally resource-efficient material with a very low carbon footprint.
Eco-Friendly Attributes: Cordek Filcor meets eco-friendly standards, containing no HFC, CFC, or HCFC. The blowing agent used, Pentane, has an excellent Global Warming Potential (GWP) rating of less than five. Pentane is not classified as harmful to human health or the environment under EU regulations.
Styrene Origins and Natural Occurrence: Filcor production uses styrene, a naturally occurring compound found in many everyday products, including strawberries, beans, nuts, beer, wine, coffee beans, and cinnamon.
