The Gypframe 70 AS 50 AcouStud is a sigma-profiled metal stud engineered to suppress noise transmission through partition systems whilst preserving usable floor space.
British Gypsum Gypframe 70 AS 50 AcouStuds suit 43mm, 70mm, 92mm, and 146mm partition configurations, delivering substantial improvements to acoustic insulation ratings. The specially engineered profile dampens sound as it propagates through the partition, reducing audible noise levels. Featuring an expanded flange width, these studs provide superior rigidity and load-bearing capacity relative to conventional 'C' section studs.
GypWall CLASSIC – A lightweight partition system delivering 30-120 minutes fire resistance and strong acoustic performance. It safeguards the metal framework against warping, decay, and distortion. Correct fixing placement and pre-installation planning are vital for achieving specified performance.
GypWall ROBUST – Offered in 70mm, 92mm, and 146mm stud depths, compliant with BS 5234 standards. It delivers excellent durability, acoustic insulation, and 60-minute fire resistance as a single-layer system. Suited to commercial applications and may need control joints to manage structural movement.
These studs deliver vertical structural support in British Gypsum partition and lining systems, as specified by the system design. Available in multiple lengths.
