The Gypframe 70 AS 50 AcouStud is a sigma-profiled metal stud engineered to minimise sound transmission through partition systems whilst preserving usable floor space.
British Gypsum's Gypframe 70 AS 50 AcouStuds integrate seamlessly with 43mm, 70mm, 92mm, and 146mm partition configurations, delivering substantial improvements to acoustic insulation ratings. The specially engineered profile attenuates sound energy as it passes through the wall structure, effectively suppressing noise levels. Compared to conventional 'C' studs, the extended flange design provides superior rigidity and load-bearing capacity.
GypWall CLASSIC – A lightweight partition system delivering 30-120 minutes of fire resistance alongside excellent acoustic performance. It safeguards the metal framework against warping, decay, and distortion. Correct fixing placement and advance planning are critical for achieving specified performance.
GypWall ROBUST – Supplied in 70mm, 92mm, and 146mm stud depths, compliant with BS 5234 standards. It combines outstanding durability, acoustic insulation, and 60-minute fire resistance in a single-layer configuration. Particularly suited to commercial environments and typically requires control joints to manage structural movement.
These studs deliver vertical structural support within British Gypsum partition and lining systems as specified by the relevant system design. Available in multiple lengths to suit various project requirements.
