The standard range includes various depths and grades to address typical soil heave scenarios and concrete thicknesses. Bespoke variants are also available for floor slab applications or where permanent formwork integration is required.
The 85mm Cellcore HX B series protects reinforced concrete ground beams and pile caps from upward pressures caused by ground heave.

Each 85mm Cellcore HX B grade is engineered to support a specific concrete thickness, plus a 1.5 kN/m2 live load allowance, with minimal creep compression over a 16-hour curing period. This is termed the "SAFE LOAD."
When the predetermined load is reached, the polystyrene legs of the Cordek panels will yield and collapse due to upward ground movement, referred to as the "FAIL LOAD."
During structural design, the slab, beam, or pile cap must be calculated to resist the difference between its self-weight and the fail load.
