These 30mm external wall insulation boards employ distinctive dual-density layering with two wool densities: a compliant lower section accommodating minor building surface irregularities, and a high-density upper layer creating the perfect base for render application. Installation requires both mechanical metal pin fixings and quality adhesive for secure wall attachment. A minimum of 7 fixings per square metre is essential for reliable performance.

Application

Install 30mm Rockwool Mineral Wool insulation slabs following manufacturer guidance, including design specifications and application protocols. Optimal results require substrate bonding using mortar or adhesive combined with mechanical fixings.

Given mineral wool's substantial weight, the EWI-225 Premium Basecoat is recommended instead of standard adhesives for lighter materials. Apply a thin, diluted adhesive coat to the prepared substrate first. After curing, apply the basecoat and set the Fibreglass Mesh into position.
